Infused Wine

Holiday Infused Wine

Cinnamon stick
Star Anise
Lemon
Lemon vitality essential oil
Cranberries
Cheese mesh/tea strainer
Sweet red blend
Container with tight lid

To make this is incredibly easy. I first put a full bottle of sweet red blend wine in a ceramic container, a place for everything to infuse together in. I don’t like to use plastic because I think there’s always a risk with using plastic in general, so if you can use glass or ceramic that would be preferable.

Next I cut the cranberries, about 6 oz. and add to the wine
It takes time to cut such little berries in half but I’ve tried this doing them whole and the process takes longer. You can use whole, but it’s better to cut them.

Cut a fresh lemon in half, remove the seeds and juice the entire thing into the ceramic container with the red blend.
I added Young Living lemon vitality essential oil as well, 3 drops of that did wonders however if you love lemon you could always add more. I found the more lemon I’ve added each time, the more I’ve liked it. Lemon and red wine are a match made in heaven.

Put one cinnamon stick, broken in half, into a cheese mesh bag or tea strainer with at least 4 star anise. Let that sink into the wine.

Cover with a lid and let sit for at least a day. I’ve never been able to wait longer than that but I’ll tell you it’s already bomb after day one.
